Map & Extraction Guide: Fastest Loot Routes & Safe Extraction Points

After spending more time in escape from duckov, I realized most of my 'random deaths' weren't because my firepower was weak—it was because I didn't plan my route or extraction. The approach below focuses on Ground Zero, but it works for larger maps later on.

1. Draw a 'backbone route' through Ground Zero

From the bunker entrance, I always anchor myself with one familiar main line: stick to the left-side warehouses and ruins, hit the toolboxes, lockers, and e-waste spots, and casually pick up wood, circuit boards, and early-game task materials. The right side near the water is quieter—good for quick grab-and-go runs.

2. Three common extraction options

  • Bunker Hatch: Safest for beginners—just retrace your steps anytime.
  • Northwest Camp: More enemies on the way, including elite ducks; great when you're geared and want a 'loot → push → extract' flow.
  • Northeast Secret Entrance: After fixing the bridge (needs wood), you can jump into the manhole and return to the bunker. Works perfectly for 'left-route full → cross bridge → immediate extract.'

3. Material-farming rhythm: run an '8-loop' around your exits

My usual pace is: bunker → left warehouse line → if my bag has task items or ammo worth keeping, I double back and exit via the hatch. If I'm healthy and still have time, I loop toward NW Camp and decide later whether to extract there or return to the bunker.

4. Always check your extraction points first

I make it a habit to confirm the available exits as soon as I load in. That decides whether I take a short quick-farm run or a longer high-value route. Don't be greedy: enemies get noticeably tougher at night, and most players try to finish runs before 22:00. If you have enough materials, just head back and tidy your stash. The same mindset applies when you unlock Warehouse, Farm Town, and other maps: learn the backbone and exits first, then slowly fill in the resource spots—don't try to 'run the whole map' right from the start.
